Slogan-Cum-Poster Presentations On The Theme Truth And Non-Violence At GDC Vijaypur

As a part of Gandhi Jayanti Celebrations 2023 under the flagship banner of Nasha Mukt Bharat and Bhrashtachar Mukt J&K, Govt. Degree College Vijaypur organized a Slogan-Cum-Poster Making activity on the theme Truth and Non-Voilence. The event was commenced with the welcome address by Prof. Poonam Kundan (HOD Enviornmental Sciences) where she briefed about how GandhiJi’s ideas are still relevant today. She said that Gandhiji overcome personal inhibitions and prejudices throughout his life and bravely challenged injustice and discrimination through non-violent methods. Principal of the College, Dr. Vandana Gupta while speaking about the theme, said that the twin cardinal principles of GandhiJi’s thought are truth and non violence. The ideas of truth and nonviolence, which underpin the whole Gandhian Philosophy, are relevant to all humankind, she said. Nearly 20 students of the college participated in slogan cum poster presentations where they explain beautifully the thoughts and teachings of Mahatma Gandhi. The whole program was coordinated by Dr. Shittal Sharma and Prof. Poonam Kundan. Refreshments were also distributed among all the participants.
