Republic Day celebrations at Government Degree College Vijaypur Government Degree College Vijaypur under the ageis of Ek Bharat, Sreshtha Bharat celebrated Republic Day with great fervor and enthusiasm in the College premises. The program was started with the welcome address by Prof. Poonam Kundan, Convenor Cultural Committee where she briefed the audience regarding the importance of Republic day. Dr. Vandana Gupta, Principal of the College unfurled the National Flag that was followed with the recitation of National Anthem andraising slogans of VandeMataram, Jai Hind-Jai Bharat, Bharat Mata ki Jai. She apprised about the spirit of nationalism, integrity, peace and brotherhood. She also gave tribute to all the freedom fighters for their contribution to protect the country. Students of the College participated in the program with enthusiasm, patriotic fervor and great zeal. Further the programme was followed by recitation of National Song and other patriotic songs.The whole event was coordinated by Dr. Shittal Sharma, Prof. Anil Bhagat and Prof. Poonam Kundan and co-coordinated by Prof. RenukaKundal, Dr. Priyanka Ganjoo, Prof. Sonia, Prof. Sandhya Bhagatand Miss DishaArti. The programmewas concluded with the formal vote of thanks presented by Dr. Shittal Sharma, Convenor NSS and IQAC. Refreshmentwas also given to participants at the end of the function.
