Under the banner of Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyan and G20,Govt. Degree College Vijaypur Samba performed wall painting where students from the College actively participated. In this respect, the walls of the College campus were painted with the slogans and some paintings displaying the misuse of drugs and its effects on youth. The event was initiated with the welcome address by Prof. Poonam Kundan where she briefed students about the activity. Dr. Shittal Sharma, Nodal Officer, Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyan Committee welcomed chief patron Dr. Vandana Gupta, principal of the college along with the participants and staff members. She motivated and encouraged the students to play their role as active members of the drug-free society. On the occasion, Dr. Vandana Gupta, the Principal of the College, sensitized the participants, students and staff members about the role of youth in stopping the use of drugs in the society. Further she also discussed about G20 summit the theme of which is “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” whose primarily focus is on green development, women empowerment, technological transformation and sustainable development. She also appreciated the students and staff for their active participation in such kind of activities. This kind of activity is a wonderful experience for students to motivate them to contribute their bit to society and to create awareness among the masses. The program was conducted successfully with the support and coordination of organizing committee comprised of Dr. Priyanka Ganjoo, Prof. Renuka Kundal, Ms.Disha Arti and Dr. GunjeetMahiwal.
