Hands-on Training Camp On Waste Management

Government Degree College Vijaypur organized a hands-on training camp on Waste Management Department of Environmental Sciences, Eco-Club and NSS Unit of Government Degree Vijaypur under the flagship banner of “My College, My Pride” organized a special a training camp on ‘Waste Management’ in which students made various things of use for the college campus like complaint Box, decoration items and dustbins etc. Under waste management three R’s: Reuse, Reduce and Recycle hold special place. Students of the college including NSS Volunteers participated in the training camp enthusiastically with great zeal and fervor. In order to raise awareness among the students about recycling of waste material into useful material Prof. Poonam Kundan, Convener Eco-Club and Head Department of Environmental Sciences made students aware of different waste management practices like segregation of waste, use of cloth bags etc. and posted posters depicting waste management on the walls of college campus. The event was supervised by Dr. Shittal Sharma, Head Department of Mathematics. The programme culminated with the vote of thanks by Dr. Naseem Chowdhary, NSS PO.
