Govt. Degree College Vijaypur Celebrates Hindi Diwas

NSS Unit (KHIDMAT) of GDC Vijaypur organised a series of activities including seminar, symposium and poetry recitation competition to commemorate Hindi Diwas. Hindi Diwas, celebrated annually on September 14th, holds a special place in promoting and preserving this national language. Students of Hindi and NSS volunteers of the college participated actively in the events with great enthusiasm, fervor and zeal. The event commenced with the welcome address by Dr. Anita Jamwal (HOD Political Science) delivering an insightful speech, sharing valuable thoughts on Hindi Day with the participants. Participating students through their poems, seminar, symposium and speech shedded light on Hindi's importance as a unifying language; traced the origin of Hindi and highlighted its crucial role in India's fight for independence; highlighted that Hindi plays an indispensable role in every aspect of life and should be actively promoted and preserved. Whole of the event was conducted under the able guidance of Dr. Vandana Verma, Principal of the College. While speaking on the occasion, she congratulated the organizing team for organizing such an event whereas she stressed upon the importance of celebrating such days. She further articulated that this day is dedicated to promote and propagate Hindi language. Certificates were presented to all the participants of all the events. Whole of the event was organized with the full support of the senior faculty members like Prof. Anita Jamwal (HOD Political Science), Prof. Mamta Gupta (HOD Commerce), Dr. Anoop Kumar Bhagat (HOD Sociology) and Prof. Ritu Bhagat (HOD Education). The whole event was coordinated by Prof. Poonam Kundan (HOD Environmental Science), Dr. Naseem Chowdhary (NSS PO and HOD English), Dr. Manoj Heer (HOD Dogri) and Prof. Meetu Sharma (HOD Geography). Refreshments were also distributed to all the participants during the event.
