Govt. Degree College Vijaypur Celebrated Teachers Day

Government Degree College Vijaypur celebrated Teachers’ Day to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radha Krishnan the first, Vice President of India (1952–1962) and also a highly-respected teacher, philosopher and prolific statesman. The celebrations began with the lightening of lamp by the Principal, Dr. Vandhana Gupta and faculty members of the College followed by floral tribute to Dr. S. R. Radha Krishnan. On this occasion, students participated in different activities like poetry, singing, speech, group and solo dance, etc. and also expressed their gratitude towards teachers. Principal of the College, Dr Vandana Gupta highlighted the achievements of the great teacher and leader, Dr. Sarvepalli Radha Krishnan and encouraged the teachers and students to follow the path of hard work, dedication and righteousness. Felicitation of teachers was done by principal of the College in recognition to their contribution. Students of the College felicitate all the teaching and non-teaching staff of the College on this occasion. Faculty members of the college thanked and applauded the students for displaying their talent and organizing the program. Program concluded with formal vote of thanks by Prof. Poonam Kundan (Convener, Cultural Committee). Refreshment was also distributed at the end of the program.
