Government Degree College Vijaypur celebrated National Constitution Day of India NSS Unit (KHIDMAT) of Government Degree College, Vijaypur in collaboration with Department of Political Science of the college celebrated Samvidhan Diwas/ National Law Day/ National Constitution Day by organizing a seminar and pledge taking ceremony to commemorate the 72nd National Constitution Day. The event started with the paying of floral tribute to Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar, Chairman, Drafting Committee of the Constitution of India by the worthy Principal and staff members of the college. NSS volunteers and other college students participated in the seminar with great enthusiasm, zeal and fervor. Welcome address was given by Riya Attri of B.A Semester-I and she carried out the proceedings of the event. All the participants shared their ideas and views on the Constitution of India. First position was secured by Rupaank Aryan of B.A Semester-I. Second position was shared by Rubby Sharma and Riya Attri both of B.A Semester-I. Third position was shared by Muskaan Thappa and Mehak Sadhotra of B.A Semester-I. Principal Prof. (Dr.) Vandana Gupta, teaching faculty/staff and the students of the college took a pledge administered by Prof. Renuka Kundal, Head of the Department of Political Science wherein the preamble of the constitution was read out to maintain the equality, fraternity, sovereignty, integrity of the nation. Whole of the event was conducted under the able guidance of Princial Dr. Vandana Gupta where she apprised the students about the significance of the Constitution Day in India, that is, the relevance of secular political values, integrity and Common brotherhood. She further stated about the aim and aspirations of the Indian people which have been widely translated into several provisions of the Constitution. The event was coordinated by Dr. Shittal Sharma, HOD Mathematics and Prof. Poonam Kundan, HOD Environmental Sciences. Vote ofthanks was presented by Dr. Naseem Chowdhary, NSS PO.
