GDC Vijaypur Organized Activities Under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan

Government Degree College Vijaypur organised a Slogan-cum-Poster Making competition and Documentary Screening on the theme “Ill-effects of Drug Abuse” under the flagship banner of “Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan” under the supervision of Dr. Vandana Gupta, Principal of the College. NSS volunteers and other college students participated in the activities with great enthusiasm, fervor and zeal. The event commenced with the welcome address by Dr. Shittal Sharma, Nodal Officer of Nasha Mukt Bharat Committee of GDC Vijaypur. She briefed the students regarding various awareness campaigns about substance abuse. The proceedings of the program were carried out by Arti and Iqra of BA Sem-V. A documentary was also screened on the occasion to highlight the importance of treating people (who use drugs) with dignity and respect and of preventing use of drugs through education and awareness-raising. In the Slogan-cum-Poster Competition, the first position was achieved by Sharda of BA Sem-III, the second position was shared by Kajal Kumari and Tamana Slathia of BA Sem-V and the third position was secured by Pallvi Sharma of BA Sem-V. The events were coordinated by Dr. Shittal Sharma (Convenor IQAC) and Prof. Poonam Kundan (Convenor Red Ribbon Club). The refreshment was also distributed to all the participants.
