GDC Vijaypur Celebrates National Constitution Day

As a part of the series of events being organized under the flagship banner of “My Constitution My Pride” and “Nasha Mukt Abhiyaan”, a pledge taking event was organized by the department of Political Science in collaboration with NSS Unit (KHIDMAT) in the college premises in which Principal, Staff and Students participated and do swear to vow our allegiance to our country and our people. The pledge was read out in Hindi and English. Students and NSS volunteers participated in the pledge with great enthusiasm and zeal. The event started with a brief introduction to the event by Dr. Radhika Rasyal, Lecturer History where she told the students about the importance of voting since voting also comes under our Constitution. While speaking on the occasion, Principal of the college, Prof. (Dr.) Vandana Gupta in her address to the students said that every year Samvidan Diwas is celebrated in order to commemorate the day of the adoption of the Constitution of India, besides highlighting and reiterating the values and principles enshrined thereunder and to honour and acknowledge the constitution of our Founding Fathers. The programme was organized with the full support and guidance of senior faculty members of the college. The programme was coordinated by Prof. Ritu Bhagat, Coordinator NSS Committee and Prof. Renuka Kundal and co-cordinated by Dr. Naseem Chowdhary, NSS PO.
