Farewell Function For Outgoing Students Of Semester-VI At GDC Vijaypur

To bid adieu to semester 6th students of the college, a farewell party was organized by students of semester 4th of GDC Vijaypur. Farewell, the party is a celebration time as the seniors leave the college for further studies and get more chance to grow and make their career. The welcome address was presented by Ms. Simranjeet Kour and Priyansh Vaid of B.Com Sem-IV. Dr. Vandana Gupta, Principal of the College was the Chief Guest of the event. The party commenced with the lightening of traditional lamp followed by the Green Welcome of the chief Guest of the programme. The proceedings of the program was conducted by Mr. Chandan, Mr. Akash , Ms. Riya and Ms. Kavya Charak of Sem-IV. The programme was full of different cultural performances which includes singing and dancing competitions, poetry recitation, interesting games and many other which were appreciated by the whole audiences with thundering applause. Staff and students wished the outgoing students best of luck for their upcoming challenges and also took their suggestions for improvement and betterment of the College. Principal of the college, Dr. Vandana Gupta, congratulated to the organizing team and students of semester 4th and wished to the outgoing students and said that anything can be achieved by sincerity, hard work and dedications. She further said that a farewell is an occasion where juniors, seniors and teachers gather at one place and share their experiences. She wished them good luck for their future endeavours. Towards the end of the farewell ceremony, students of Sem-VI were given gifts as a token of love. Mr. Anirudh and Ms. Jyoti were selected as Mr. BA and Ms. BA respectively where as Mr. Santeshwar and Ms. Riya were selected as Mr. B.Com and Ms. B.Com respectively. The whole event was organized by Mr. Keshav Kehra, Mr. Chandan, Mr. Haroon Malik, Mr. Akash, Mr. Saksham, Ms. Kavya Charak, Ms. Sheetal Sharma, Ms. Kajal Choudhary, Mr. Amit, Ms. Riya, and Ms. Simranjeet Kour of Sem-IV. It was coordinated by Prof. Poonam Kundan (Convenor, Cultural Committee) and co-coordinated by Dr. Shittal Sharma (Convenor IQAC). Others who were present were Dr. Gunjeet Mahiwal, Dr. Priyanka Ganjoo, Prof. Renuka Kundal, Prof. Sonia Devi, Prof. Sandhya Bhagat, Prof. Rakesh Kumar, Prof. Yograj Singh, Prof. Amanpreet Kour, Prof. Adeeti Antehal and Ms. Disha Arti.
