ECOCLUB OF GDC VIJAYPUR CELEBRATES WILDLIFE WEEK

Ecoclub (Green Warriors) of Government Degree College Vijaypur organized skit to celebrate wildlife week in the college campus. The skit was coordinated by Poonam Kundan (Convener Ecoclub) along with students namely Chandan, Haroon, Akash, Nikita, Rohit, Amit, Rupaank, Riya and Vanshika. The aim of organizing the programme is to raise awareness about the importance of wildlife conservation and to protect and preserve the nation’s rich biodiversity. The skit was based on the theme “Partnership for Wildlife Conservation” where the participants showcased their talent very enthusiastically. The worthy Principal Dr. Vandana Gupta congratulated & appreciated the efforts of the Department of Environmental Sciences for conducting such event and highlighted the crucial role of wildlife in maintaining the ecological balance of nature. She further discussed the prevailing threats to wildlife and the measures needed to be taken for conservation of Wildlife. Proceedings of the programme was carried by Chandan Kumar of BA Semester V. The programme was coordinated by Poonam Kundan and co-coordinated by Dr. Naseem Choudhary and Radhika Rasyal. Momentoes and certificates were presented to all the participants of the skit. Refreshment was also distributed at the end of the programme.
