Cultural Programme On The Eve Of Republic Day At Government Degree College Vijaypur

Cultural Committee of Government Degree College Vijaypur in collaboartion with Department of Environmental Sciences celebrated Republic Day with great fervor and enthusiasm in the College premises. The event started with the lightening of lamp by the Principal and staff members of the college. It was followed by Saraswati Vandana and students of the College presented various cultural events with great enthusiasm, patriotic fervor and great zeal by recitation of National Song. Audience was enthralled with group dance and patriotic songs sung by the students. Proceedings of the programme was carried by Dr. Radhika Rasyal (Lecturer, History) along with Riya Changotra and Mehak (Students of Semester VI). Principal of the college Dr. Vandana Verma highlighted the significance of Republic Day, emphasizing the values of justice, liberty, and equality that the Constitution upholds. The programme was coordinated with full support of senior faculty members of the college, Prof. Mamta Gupta (HOD Commerce), Dr. Anoop Bhagat (HOD Sociology) and Prof. Ritu Bhagat (HOD Education). The whole event was coordinated by Prof. Poonam Kundan (Co-Convener Cultural Committee and HOD Environmental Sciences) and Dr. Naseem Chowdhary (NSS PO and HOD English) and co-coordinated by Dr. Manoj Heer (HOD Dogri), Prof. Meetu Sharma (HOD Geography), Dr. Priyanka Ganjoo and Dr. Radhika Rasyal. Certificates were awarded to all the participants and Refreshment was also given to participants at the end of the function.
