Awareness Programme Under SVEEP 2024

GDC Vijaypur organizes Awareness Programme under SVEEP NSS Unit (KHIDMAT) of GDC Vijaypur in collaboration with District Election Office, Samba organized an awareness programme regarding ‘Voting Awareness’ to make students aware of the voting process and the enrolment process as a voter. The programme was a great inspiration for the students as the students came to know about the importance of voting and types of elections in India. NSS volunteers and other college students participated in the awareness programme with great enthusiasm, fervor and zeal. A team of officials from District Election Office, Samba deliberated upon the purpose of the programme to inculcate constitutional obligations and to encourage staff and students to cast their vote. It also deliberated upon how India runs the world’s biggest democratic elections. The event was organized under the able guidance of Dr. (Prof.) Vandana Gupta, esteemed Principal of the college where she briefed the students about the fundamental rights and duties of the Indian Constitution. The idea of Voting awareness is to aware the college students about the importance of voting. She further said that voting is an important civic duty that can significantly impact the future of our country. The event was organized with the full support of the senior faculty members like Prof. Anita Jamwal (HOD Political Science) and Prof. Mamta Kundal (HOD Commerce). The event was coordinated by Prof. Ritu Bhagat (HOD Education) and Dr. Naseem Chowdhary (NSS PO) and co-coordinated by Dr. Manoj Heer (HOD Dogri) and Prof. Meetu Sharma (HOD Geography). Refreshment was provided to all the participants after the end of the programme.
