Government Degree College Vijaypur students conducted a survey to felicitate Annual Status of Education Report (rural) ASER-2022 A survey was conducted by the students of Government Degree College Vijaypur to felicitate Annual Status of Education Report-2022. The initiative was taken by GDC Vijaypur with the certitude of adorable Principal of the College Dr. (Prof.) Vandana Gupta in collaboration with ASER-J&K 2022. More than 30 volunteer students pioneered a survey based on three days training imparted to them by Master trainers from the ASER-J&K. This is an annual survey that aims to provide reliable estimates of children’s enrolment and basic learning levels for each district and state in India. The responsibility was shouldered and shared by Dr. Shittal Sharma, Head Department of Mathematics who coordinated the whole event from motivating the students and finally imparting the students the practical lesson of conducting surveys. A Contractual Services Agreement was signed between GDC Vijaypur and PRATHAM Foundation namely ASER-J&K- 2022 so that various activities related to the foundation can be carried out by the students of the college and can also be benefitted by them. The students during their training programme were given refreshment and for conducting survey they were paid in monetary terms. The students conducted survey in different spheres of District Vijaypur by visiting different schools and household in far flung villages of Districts Samba in general and villages in Block Vijaypur in particular by gathering first hand data of the real picture of school education and literacy in rural India.
