Live Telecast Of Hon’ble Prime Minister’s Speech On National Youth Day

NSS Unit (KHIDMAT) of GDC Vijaypur organized a live telecast of PM’s Speech to the youth of the country. The live telecast was a great inspiration for the students as the students came to know about the mission of Sh. Narendra Modi, our Prime Minister and his dream about New India. NSS volunteers and other college students participated in the live telecast with great enthusiasm and zeal. The live telecast deliberated upon as how the youth can lead Bharat towards the path of Vikas and how Viksit Bharat would look like in 2047, what are the different goals that needs to be accomplished by our youth to achieve Viksit Bharat and what efforts are needed to be put upon to achieve a developed nation. Prof. Ritu Bhagat, Coordinator NSS while addressing the NSS Volunteers stated that National Youth Day is observed in India every year on January 12 to honour the teachings and ideals of Swami Vivekananda, a great philosophers and spiritual leader, who was born on January 12, 1863, in Kolkata. The decision to celebrate Vivekananda’s birthday as National Youth Day was taken in 1984, and it was first marked on January 12, 1985 when the government had then said that the philosophy of Swamiji and the ideals for which he lived and worked “could be a great source of inspiration” for the Indian youth. The event was organized by Dr. Naseem Chowdhary, NSS PO and Prof. Renuka Kundal, Lecturer Political Science.
