POSTER MAKING COMPETITION ON THE THEME UPGRADING ENVIRONMENT BLISSFULLY

Humans can go through penance and rigorous austerities in later future if environment not given cruciality in present arena as said by Poonam Kundan (Convener Ecoclub and HOD Environmental Sciences). In this concern, ECOCLUB of GDC Vijaypur organised poster making competition on the theme “Upgrading Environment Blissfully” under the aegis of G20 and Mission LiFE. Nearly 15 Green Warriors of BA and B.Com participated in this competition wherein they had revealed the imperativeness of enriching and conserving environment in lieu to have blissful life ahead. They portayed their inner feelings and imaginations outerly their true devotion towards the environment. Some came up with extraordinary selfless and desireless notion to preserve environment. In the poster making competition, first position was shared by Kavya Charak and Kajal Choudhary of B.com Semester IV, Second position was shared by Kanchan Sharma of BA Sem VI and Rupank Aryan of BA Sem II and third position was shared by Riya Attri, Anshita Sharma and Lovepreet Kour of Sem II. The competition was adjudged by Dr. Bandana Khajuria, Dr. Priyanka Ganjoo and Prof. Sandhya Bhagat. To achieve harmony among individuals Dr. Vandana Gupta, Principal of the college explicated the dire urgency to accompany the present environment needs. The students were enamored when she emphasized that in order that our mind and heart may dwell close to GOD one must take pledge to save environment from one’s heart and home. So to tune oneself with nature one should adhere to the demands of nature and should not dispose waste openly. She further congratulated the participants of the competition for showing their interest and also appreciate the efforts of the organizing team. The program was coordinated by Prof. Poonam Kundan and Co-coordinated by Prof. Amanpreet Kour. The programme was concluded by Poonam Kundan where she deliberated that true prosperity of Nation lies in saving environment and the needs of this action was clearly depicted on the posters. Saving environment is everybody karma and the reward of the same will get in the near future as lastly quoted by the coordinator of the event.
