GDC Vijaypur Organises Tiranga Rally To Commemorate Republic Day

In a series of events to mark the celebrations of 76th Anniversary of Indian Republic Day, NSS Unit (KHIDMAT) of GDC Vijaypur organised ‘The Tiranga Rally’ under the aegis of “Nayi Chetna 3.0” and “Shikshit Bharat”. The aim of the rally was to inculcate the feelings of nationalism, oneness and harmony among college students and masses. The Rally was flagged off by Dr. Vandana Verma, Principal of the college. A large gathering of Faculty Members, NSS Volunteers and students of the college joined in the celebrations. Principal of the college, while speaking on the occasion articulated that 76th year of the Republic is truly a historic milestone in the journey of the nation in many ways. This is an especially festive occasion, just as we celebrated the unique greatness and diverse culture of our nation during the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, when we completed 76 years of Independence. She further lauded the enthusiastic participation of faculty members and students in the event and urged them to contribute in all possible manners in order to make the nation strong and united. The rally was flagged off by Principal of the college. It started from college campus to Patti village and back to college campus. At the very outset, Dr Naseem Chowdhary (NSS PO) formally welcomed all the dignitaries and participants. She further briefed them about the event. The programme started with the distribution of National Flags to all gathered members and students followed by raising the Slogans, “Bharat Mata Ki Jai”, “Jai Hind”, “Vande Matram”, “Desh Ki raksha kaun karega, Hum karenge Hum karenge”. The Tricolour was waving in the air in every hand and the atmosphere was filled with patriorism. Whole of the event was organized with full support of the senior faculty members like Prof. Anita Jamwal (HOD Political Science), Prof. Mamta Kundan (HOD Commerce), Dr. Anoop Kumar Bhagat (HOD Sociology), Dr. Ritu Bhagat (HOD Education), Prof. Poonam Kundan (HOD Environmental Sciences), Dr. Manoj Heer (HOD Dogri) and Prof. Meetu Sharma (HOD Geography). The event was coordinted by Dr. Naseem Chowdhary (NSS PO) and Dr. Jan Mohd. Wani (PTI).
