GDC Vijaypur organises Slogan Writing Competition National Education Day is celebrated on November 11 every year in honor of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, the first Education Minister of independent India and a prominent educationist. This day highlights the importance of education in shaping India's future. To mark the importance of the day a slogan writing competition on the theme, “Building a Brighter Tomorrow through Education” was organised by Department of Education and IQAC of GDC Vijaypur under the supervision and guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Vandana Verma, Principal of the college. More than 20 college students participated in the activity with great enthusiasm, fervour and zeal. The event commenced with the welcome address by Prof. Ritu Bhagat (H.O.D. Education). She emphasised that National Education Day spreads awareness about literacy, especially in remote and underprivileged areas. This day reminds us that education is a basic right and that literacy can empower individuals to make their own informed decisions. The first position was secured by Ankush of B.A Sem 1st, the second position was shared between Shruti Jamwal and Lovepreet Kour of Semester 5 th and the 3rd position was achieved by Kusum Rani of semester 3rd. The event was coordinated by Dr. Gunjeet Mahiwal and Dr. Noreen Jaral (Lecturers, Dept. of Education). The competition was adjudged by Prof. Mamta Gupta (H.O.D. Commerce), Prof. Poonam Kundan (H.O.D. Enviornmental Sciences) and Dr. Naseem Chowdhary (H.O.D. English). Certificates were distributed among the winners and participants.
